Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

Duties:
- Provide routine and emergent interpretation of outpatient and inpatient diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine reports for Phoenix VAHCS and CBOC's.
- Ensure high quality imaging and collaborative clinical care.
- Cover Neuroradiology subspecialty and general radiology procedures and interpretation.
- Supervise personnel, evaluation of prospective new hires, oversee compliance with all regulations/accreditation, and address patient complaints.
- Part-time Radiology-Educator for medical students, resident physicians and fellows.
- Participate in the random peer-review process of other physicians within the department and a variety of Radiology Service or PVAHCS-wide committees.
- All radiology reports, requests for laboratory studies, CPT codes and diagnosis shall be entered into the patient's chart electronically.
- Provide direct patient care in:
- Evaluating and prioritizing radiology orders
- Ordering and evaluating appropriate laboratory studies
- Ordering hydration for CT exams
- Protocolling and approving complex imaging exams
- Timely and accurate reporting of a variety of complex imaging exams
- Notifying providers of critical imaging results
- Performing interventional procedures
Additional Experience: Perform radiopharmaceutical therapies and Theragnostic would be helpful.
Work Schedule:
- 8 am - 4:30 pm - Monday to Friday
- Candidate will be expected to participate in the departments on call schedule and fulfill on call duties as assigned.
- This includes providing coverage outside of regular working hours as required to meet the needs of the department.
