The incumbent is assigned as an Interventional Radiologist to the Imaging Service and reports to the Interventional Radiologist Section Chief.

Clinical Duties:
As a staff radiologist, the incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of the Imaging Services throughout the STVHCS. The radiologist must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide interventional services (including, but not limited to the following).
- The physician must possess sufficient computer skills needed to work with advanced PACs and voice recognition systems.
- The radiologist will be responsible for timely interpretation and communication of the imaging results (including entry into digital medical record and verbal notification of critical findings).
- The radiologist is required to provide consultation services, comparative reports and participate in clinical conferences/committees as requested by referring physicians.
- The physician is responsible for the overall safety of imaging patients, including oversight of contrast administration and response to adverse patient reactions. Safety also includes reviewing requests and ensuring the appropriate imaging protocols, preparations and medications have been ordered.
Educational Duties:
As a staff interventional radiologist, the incumbent will assist, train, supervise and mentor radiology residents in the performance of procedures and interpreting studies. The radiologist will be required to provide education and training to members of the medical staff through various conferences, committees and lecture series
Administrative Duties:
The incumbent may be assigned administrative or managerial responsibilities through participation in clinical, educational and administrative committees, task groups or special projects. The radiologist will participate in quality control/quality management (including department and hospital review level peer reviews).
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm; May change based on the needs of the service.
