This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and will remain open until September 30, 2026 or until all positions are filled. Major Duties and Responsibilities to include but not be limited to:
- Interpreting diagnostic imaging studies, including:
- Plain Radiographs (Xray)
- Computed Tomography (CT)
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
- Ultrasound (US)
- Nuclear Medicine (if applicable)
- Mammography (if applicable and credentialed)
- Performing image-guided procedures such as:
- CT/US guided Biopsies
- Drainage procedures
- Join injections/aspirations
- Fluoroscopy exams (e.g., barium swallow, upper GI)
- Documenting and communicating diagnostic results via radiology reports in a timely manner,
- Assist providers in performance of specialized examinations when requested.
- Consults with referring physicians regarding the appropriateness and interpretation of radiologic studies
- Adheres to VA policies, ensuring compliance with quality assurance, safety, infection control, and radiologic protocol standards
- Utilizes PACS and voice recognition software to produce timely and accurate reports
- Participates in Quality Management activities such as film quality, clerical checks, peer review and other activities as required.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols
- Participates in call rotation on evening, weekends, shift telework rotation and holidays.
- Maintains licensure and continuing medical education in compliance with VA requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) Authorized: This position is eligible for EDRP, a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of your start date. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
