Major Duties:
- Participates and manages a diverse Dermatology Team that provides comprehensive care to include diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and education of patients with Dermatologic conditions in inpatient/outpatient settings.
- Documents patient encounters and coding of visits accurately and timely.
- Evaluates, triage, and prioritize Dermatology consult requests to ensure timely care for patients. Performs excisional or diagnostic skin biopsies and minor skin surgeries.
- Reviews images from store and forward program to make treatment recommendations or determine urgency of face-to-face evaluations.
- Supervise providers in the dermatology section, including performance reviews and evaluations; ensuring providers are informed of and adherent to VA policies and procedures.
- Ensures efficient operations of the dermatology section and dermatology clinics.
- Advances the clinical, educational and research missions of VA.
- Participates in multidisciplinary/facility level process improvement teams and workgroups and committees as requested.
- Coordinates care at VA or non-VA referral centers for patients requiring services not provided at the facility such as MOHS surgery.
- Completes CME as required to maintain competency in Dermatology, medical licensure and board certification. HIPAA, Privacy and Security and other mandatory VA training in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as appropriately assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
