Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (with required on-call rotation, which includes nights, weekends and holidays)

Duties:
- Provide evidence-based care in an outpatient clinical setting and provide consultation services in an inpatient setting or emergent need. Provide telephone and e-consult consultations as needed.
- Provide diagnosis and treatment of adult patients presenting with infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, illness after travel, diseases resistant to treatment, Lyme disease, and Hepatitis B and C.
- Participation in clinical on call schedule.
- Participation in the infection prevention and control program and antibiotic stewardship initiatives.
- Regularly monitor patients' progress throughout treatment, managing any side effects and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary staff to identify, communicate, and resolve issues related to the Infectious Disease section, Medical Center ancillary and support operations, and VISN-wide mandates.
- Participates in quality assurance (QA) activities to include and provide data collection, data analysis, and trends and reports on changes based on data collection.
