This is an
OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and will remain open until
November 30, 2026. The initial cut-off date for referral of eligible applications will be
May 21, 2026 with subsequent cut-off date every two weeks.
- Provide medical services to Veterans on an outpatient basis in the primary care setting. Disease processes include, but are not limited to: diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, mental health disorders, comprehensive women's health care, etc., with a major focus on preventive medicine.
- Lead the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) approach in the delivery of care, which emphasizes a team based approach to healthcare.
- Document all medical information in an electronic medical record.
- Perform medication reconciliation.
- Provide effective delivery of outpatient care while meeting and exceeding compliance standards.
- Maintain current clinical privileges, licensure, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and all other requirements as appropriate.
- Cooperate with, and participate in, medical duties or functions related to quality of care and peer review along with improvement/performance improvement activities at the direction of the Chief of the Medical Service.

Contract Buy Out Program: This position may be eligible for the Physician / Provider Contract Buy Out Program (CBOP), which authorizes VHA to buy out service contracts (Locum agreements, loan repayments, sign-on bonus contracts, Physician-owned practices) in exchange for employment at certain rural or highly rural facilities for a period of obligated service (minimum 4 years).
