The Robert J Dole VA Medical Center (VAMC) is seeking a full-time Neurologist to serve Veteran patients of the facility. The incumbent will develop, implement, and maintain currently accepted Neurology practice at the RJDVAMC. The Neurologist is fully responsible to the Chief of Medicine Service for clinical matters concerning the neurology program.
The duties and responsibilities of the Anesthesiologist include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Formulate and recommend plans for a comprehensive Neurology program.
- Develop the requirements of staff, facility infrastructure, equipment, and supplies needed to support the Neurology program, utilizing necessary reviews and controls.
- Assume responsibility for carrying out the goals, objectives, plans and policies established by the Medical Center Director and VA Heartland Network.
- Provide accountability for all neurology operations, assuring support of the mission and values of the RJDVAMC.
- Work collaboratively with the facility Service Chief's as to expand and/or enhance neurology service offered at RJDVAMC.
- Utilize data about target population and available resources, formulate strategic short term and long-range plans and goals for the service.
- Complete performance (OPPE) Audits of same specialties in Neurology within the VISN.
- Appraise the effectiveness of the various neurology programs and services in meeting the needs of patient care. Create and foster an environment of system-oriented quality improvement.
- Ensure all Veterans receive high quality, efficient, timely, and appropriate care with the highest professional and ethical standards and quality of care.
