The Pulmonary-Critical Care section is a pillar of the institution and boasts a strong clinical and teaching reputation in the region. The position involves inpatient and outpatient Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. The candidate will have educational responsibilities for Pulmonary/Critical Care fellows, Internal Medicine residents and medical students.
Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
- Attending responsibilities for the Medical ICU Team (Medical Residents)
- Critical Care consultation in Surgical ICU (with Medical Residents and Critical Care Fellow)
- Teaching and mentoring students, residents and Fellow
- Inpatient consultations for Pulmonary
- Pulmonary specific inpatient diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
The physician should demonstrate the ability to work well with a large, diverse and dedicated patient care staff. The position includes a faculty appointment at the affiliated Louisiana State University Health and Science Center commensurate with qualifications.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
