Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provides comprehensive outpatient care for a panel of adult patients through a patient aligned care team (PACT) model, utilizing face-to-face, telephone, VA Video Connect appointment modalities for providing care within the standard of care for Internal Medicine/Family Practice patients.
- Serves as a provider who is highly skilled in the management of a patient's primary care needs or sub-specialty evaluation and treatment.
- Examines and provides appropriate treatment based on best clinical practice.
- Orders laboratory and radiology tests and refers patients to specialists when appropriate.
- Analyzes reports, test results, medical records and examinations to diagnose condition of patients and propose treatment options.
- Prescribes medications and provides comprehensive instructions for administration
- Maintains clinical proficiency and familiarity with the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS), while providing continuity of care for a limited panel of patients.
- Ensures documentation and view alerts are processed in a timely manner.
- Serves as clinical preceptor for mid-level practitioners
- Establishes and maintains a collegial relationship with other clinical staff.
- Contributes to the achievement of quality care standards, efficiency, process improvement and patient satisfaction.
- Maintains a safe environment for staff and patients conducive to maintaining patient satisfaction and staff morale.
- Provides direct supervision to the provider staff assigned at the Rogersville VA Clinic and performs a full range of supervisory duties to include direct oversight, ePerformance, time management, disciplinary actions, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): This position is eligible for
the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
