The staff Hematologist/Oncologist will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:
- Provide expert consultation and treatment to patients in the outpatient Hematology/Oncology clinic; as well as provide feedback and consultation with the other services within the Hudson Valley Health Care System.
- The Physician will evaluate, triage, and prioritize requests from Primary Care providers and others for outpatient hematology/oncology subspecialty consultations.
- They will obtain medical histories, conduct physical examinations, order and evaluate appropriate laboratory testing, and plan and prescribe treatment for patients.
- The Hematologist/Oncologist will coordinate medical management and care with Primary Care providers and other medical personnel in a multidisciplinary health care delivery system.
- The Hematologist/Oncologist will perform administrative tasks as assigned, such as peer reviews and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations (OPPE).
- Provide Hematology/Oncology on-call services as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Tour will be discussed during interview process.
