Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): This position is eligible for
the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)

- Helps increase efficiency and productivity throughout the unit.
- Proactively communicates with the Medical Staff Department, the Chief of Staff and other members of the team to assure optimum results.
- Provides oversight on Cardiology regarding: consultations, evaluating clinic inpatients and outpatients, and interpreting diagnostic tests such as treadmill, nuclear scanning, echocardiography, pacemakers and Holter Monitors.
- Insures that physicians provide optimum patient care by assessing the skill set of physician's diagnostic and treatment plans, performance and documentation of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within their scope of individual privileges.
- Participates in staff evaluations, communications and counseling.
- May also be assigned to perform other clinical duties as assigned within the service and by the Chief of Service or Chief of Staff.
- Represents the interests of the unit to appropriate committees.
- Responsible for and participates in educational programs for the inpatient unit personnel.
- Updates and develops inpatient policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates ethical conduct and serves as a positive role model to others at all levels of the organization
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
