The Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC) provides comprehensive Gynecologic care to veterans and active-duty service-members and their dependents. Lovell FHCC gynecologists are assigned to the Department of Surgery and provide primarily consultative care in addition to preventative gynecologic care. Gynecologists work side by side with the Women's Health Primary Care clinic.

Gynecologic services at the facility include the full spectrum of benign gynecology, including (but not limited to):
- Cervical dysplasia
- Abnormal uterine bleeding
- Contraception management
- Symptomatic menopause
- Pelvic pain
- Endometriosis
- Fibroids
- Pelvic floor dysfunction
- Infertility workup and initial treatment
- Management of nonviable and ectopic pregnancy
- Patients with normal pregnancies are referred to an obstetric provider in the community.

Surgical expectations:
- Ability to perform:
- Laparoscopic surgery
- Hysteroscopic surgery
- Open surgery
- Robotic surgery certification is desirable (not mandatory).
- FHCC has the Intuitive Da Vinci 5 robotic platform.
- Pelvic floor surgical expertise is welcome, but not required.

Professional expectations:
- Call coverage required and split equally among all full-time gynecologists.
- Effective interaction with nursing, radiology, and anesthesiology.
- Maintenance of high degree of excellence in clinical outcomes and efficiency.
- Responsibilities include supervision of:
- Mid-level providers
- Active duty medical assistants (hospital corpsmen)
- Participation in hospital-wide committees is expected.

- FHCC Lovell is affiliated with Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.
- Serves as a clerkship site for third-year medical students.
- Potential for research and academic pursuits.
- Gynecology Clinic is affiliated with University of Dubuque Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
- Students complete their Women's Health rotation at FHCC.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
