The Medical Director is responsible for ensuring that excellent, high-quality care is provided to our Veteran population in Community Based Outpatient Clinics located in Plymouth, Quincy, Framingham, and Lowell. These four practices total 24 providers for > 8000 patients. This full-time position includes approximately 51% clinical time and 49% administrative time. This person will be the Medical Director for the five VA Boston Community Based Outpatient Clinics. There is no call, and no weekend or holiday duty.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working as a member of the management team to provide oversight of practice management including direct provider supervision, operational issues and clinical performance.
- The Medical Director will have clinical time at one of the clinics above, providing longitudinal care to a panel of medically complex and diverse patients.
- Developing local educational initiatives for providers and trainees.
- Implementing clinical quality improvement initiatives.

Academic accomplishments will be commensurate with academic appointment at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level at Harvard Medical School or Boston University School of Medicine.
Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards
