Columbia Medicine Service is seeking an INVASIVE Chief Cardiologist with outstanding clinical, teaching, administrative and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will also work collaboratively with the Cardiology staff. The incumbent will have clinical responsibilities, including preceptor to medical students and additional ad hoc clinical, teaching, and administrative assignments as may be required by the Chief of the Medicine Service or the Chief of Staff.
The candidate must have completed Internal Medicine training in an accredited program, as well as a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases. Board Certification in cardiovascular disease desired. Diagnostic cardiac catheterization desirable. Expertise in the interpretation of Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Vascular Cardiology desired.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provision of comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care to patients with cardiovascular diseases.
- Interpretation of stress tests, tilt table tests, echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, nuclear and vascular studies.
- Administrative oversight of the Cardiology Section.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Subject to change based on the needs of the agency.
