This position is eligible for
the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.
Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)

Duties include but not limited to the following:
- Directs the provision of quality, consistent, coordinated, and timely primary and specialty care at the satellite and community-based outpatient clinics.
- Oversees the development and implementation of operational clinical programs, policies and procedures that address issues and provide standards relevant to the delivery of primary and specialty care at the satellite and community-based outpatient clinics.
- Promotes the provision of easy access to medical knowledge, expertise, and care for veteran patients through sharing/consolidating services between outpatient facilities and the NF/SG medical centers.
- Participates in direct patient care and serves as a role model for peers.
- Plays a central role in developing and coordinating internal review systems to ensure that both clinical and administrative activities are in compliance with agency and accrediting regulatory requirements.
- Ensures effective integration of outpatient clinic efforts/activities with other medical center operations, VISN 8 and VHA initiatives, and with community-based agencies and activities.
- Completes annual proficiency evaluations of the Chief Medical Officers and others, incorporates specific performance improvement data in these appraisals.
- Is responsible for meeting the Performance Improvement requirements of both the Joint Commission and the Department of Veterans Affairs, encompassing the information in ambulatory care, and for directing, educating, and involving all staff in these areas in the Performance Improvement process.
- Is responsible for the oversight of educational programs in the Satellite and Community-Based Outpatient Clinics and ambulatory care in the medical center. Participates in educational programs for primary care.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
