- Provide geriatric consultation within inpatient, outpatient, and nursing home locations; as assigned upon hire
- Attend daily huddles as assigned to maintain communication with hospital teams and the Community Living Center
- Attend GEC interdisciplinary care plan meetings, as assigned, to ensure high-quality and safe care is provided within our programs
- Collaborate daily with members of geriatric and palliative care teams.
- Assist with receiving, triaging, and managing CLC and geriatric medicine consultations
- Serve as CLC Attending and/or PCU Attending, as assigned, throughout the year in rotation with others to include weekend and on-call coverage. Off hours call duty is from home and access to medical record system will be provided
- Supervise and provide education for medical students, residents, and fellows in rotation within GEC programs
- Ensure timely documentation and workload capture of clinical work within the electronic medical record system
- Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, committee and workgroup assignments focused on improving the system of care at this facility Maintain licensures and certifications requisite for credentials and privileges at the OKC VA HCS at all times
- Meet ethical and professional standards as written in the Medical Staff Bylaws and ensure that work relations are in compliance with facility standards and expectations as written and communicated
- Other duties or cross-coverage as assigned by Associate Chief of Staff
