About the Position: This announcement is to fill one or more intermittent Nurse positions for Dexter Elementary School, Fort Benning, GA for the Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA).

Duties
Provides classroom instruction and individual student health education and counseling. | Provides emergency care of illness or injury occurring during school hours according to standard first aid guidelines. | Maintains health information and documents. | Collaborates with teachers and other school personnel to interpret pupil health status. | Participates in the establishment, management, and evaluation of a comprehensive school health program.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Education Requirement:
A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and successful completion of the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), https://nclex.com/index.page is required. Must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. The license must be verifiable through the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) nurse licensure and disciplinary database and must be maintained throughout employment with DoDEA.
OR
A Bachelor's degree in a programs other than nursing is acceptable only if possession of a current, active, full, and unrestricted nurse license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States is presented. Nurses from Puerto Rico will be required to show proof of passing the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), https://nclex.com/index.page.
Education
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
